Pennsic Bound Soon

July 26, 2008 § 4 Comments

Work submitted, with the following note:

I am now officially on vacation. I will be hot, sweaty, tired, and entirely too happy about all of these things for the next two weeks as I am camping in the foothills of PA. I will be unable to answer email or phone calls during that time, but I will return on roughly the 10th of August. Please feel free to send me email in the interim and I’ll read it when I return with my sunburn.

Time to finish packing.

Protected: Oh btw, that vacation you wanted to go on?

Produce for 24 June 2008

This week’s shipment from Maple Creek Farm included two more quarts of strawberries, two HUGE bags of mixed lettuce greens, mini purple spring onions, chinese cabbage, and dino kale.

So far we’ve used the kale and the onions for dinner (chicken stir fry) and started our first foray into the Foodsaver world. With Pennsic coming up, we want to try freezing our meals ahead in the vacuum sealed bags and see if we can make some good dinners with minimum fuss.

I don’t think the strawberries will last beyond tomorrow, though. 🙂

Maybe Pennsic a Bit

July 16, 2007 § 7 Comments

There is now a small chance I might go to Pennsic for a few days in the middle. It is currently a point of contention between me and the Big Guy. He wants me to go. I want to make sure he’s ok at home and can get to PT or whathaveyou without re-injury after his surgery (this Friday! yikes!). We’ll see how this plays out. I’ll try to keep you all updated.

Unpacking from Pennsic

August 20, 2006 § 2 Comments

We’re actually almost unpacked from Pennsic now, with everything nearly in its place or ready to be cleaned. We had to move the tent in the backyard because the construction gods smiled on us and sent a man to do that last series of finishing work on various portions of the house (like washing it). It took a lot less time than I expected to get everything in its place. I can finally start working on the post office mail that built up. First thing I opened was the credit card statement from partial purchases during Pennsic and what do I find? I got a free gasoline card out of my book purchases at Pennsic. *blush* Oh the joy of new books

Where Am I?
