For those of you on my friends list who are looking for a way to recycle those thick, small plastic bags that your coffee beans come in (assuming that’s how you buy it), I have an option for you. Assuming you can’t recycle them through your curbside, if you get them to me when we see each other at some point (meeting, event, whathaveyou), I know of a woman who’s looking for as many as she can get her hands on for some craft projects. If you get them to me, I’ll get them to her in one larger grouping.

In my quest for happiness today (since I hate not having a happy thought in grasping distance), I finally came upon an idea for using up dryer lint that doesn’t involve a craft I am unlikely to pursue without the aid of a 5-year-old child in my house (aka: paper mache or faux paper or lint clay). Ya know those old toilet paper tubes you’re all studiously recycling with your fiberboard? Stuff them as full as you can with dryer lint then use them as fire starters for wood fires while you’re camping (or in an outdoor fire pit).
